A Verona, WI residence had a sump pump fail causing extensive loss. Over a foot of rain in six hours on August 20 caused the pump to fail consequently flooding the basement and ruining fifteen hundred feet of carpet. We were called out to this residence in New Glarus, WI, because heavy rains caused seepage into the original part of the house causing water damage to this three-season porch that a builder was in the process of adding. One of the unique ways we dealt with this loss was by coming from the outside of the house and cutting away some sheathing to remove wet blown-in insulation. We also needed to dry hardwood floors and used a tenting method as seen in the after picture to dry the hardwood floors. This technique allowed us to save the hardwood floors.
